A New Year’s resolution for your pets!
At Beehive vets we know that each pet is unique and that providing bespoke and holistic wellness monitoring is key to ensuring their health and longevity.
We are launching a wellness screening programme aiming to detect diseases as early as possible to help your pets live their best lives.
Monitoring health parameters over the years allows us to better know what is normal for your animal, rather than relying on less accurate reference ranges that are formulated for an entire species. With this in mind, it is beneficial to collect samples when an animal is young and healthy and then map these values over their whole life.
Did you know that…
- 1 in 7 adults (dogs aged 3-6 years and cats 2-8 years),
- 1 in 5 Seniors (dogs aged 7-10 years and cats 9-13 years),
- 2 in 5 geriatrics (dogs aged 11 + years and cats aged 14+ years), seemingly appear healthy but have significant health abnormalities when screened.
How can we help?
We are now running a Wellness Screening Programme to detect diseases early.
These include a blood test, urine test and faecal sampling to ensure a full overview of your pets’ health status.
There are lots of different profiles we can select so do not worry if you can not get a urine sample, we can still test your pet’s blood and faeces.
Prices are at a discounted rate and range from £95- £115.
This includes an appointment with a nurse for a health check and blood sampling. We recommend testing from the neutering age and then annually going forwards.
If your pet is older, do not worry, these tests are even more important in detecting early signs of disease, which are more prevalent with age.
