Pet Vaccinations in Rothwell

Protecting pets, one vaccine at a time.

Why vaccinate your pet?

Pet vaccinations are one of the simplest, safest and most effective ways to protect your pet from serious and often preventable diseases.

Whether you’ve just welcomed a new puppy, kitten or rabbit into your family, or you’re making sure your older pet stays protected, regular vaccinations are an important part of responsible pet ownership.

At Beehive Vets, we offer a calm, caring environment for your pet’s vaccination, and expert advice tailored to their needs.

Benefits of vaccinating your pet

  • Helps protect against life-threatening diseases
  • Prevents the spread of contagious illnesses between pets
  • Keeps your pet safe when meeting others or staying in kennels/catteries
  • May reduce long-term vet bills by avoiding serious illness

Pet vaccinations provide peace of mind, knowing you’re doing everything you can to keep them healthy and happy.

Our pet vaccinations services

We offer comprehensive vaccination programmes for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Each plan is tailored to your pet’s lifestyle, age, and individual risk factors.

But it’s not just about the vaccines. Every vaccination appointment includes a full health check to help detect any early signs of illness and keep your pet in top condition. These annual check-ups are a vital part of preventative care. They give us the chance to catch potential issues before they become serious and to keep track of your pet’s overall wellbeing. Our experienced team will take the time to explain exactly what your pet needs and why — no rushed appointments, and no confusing jargon.

Keep your pet healthy, happy, and protected.

Dog
Vaccinations

From their first puppy jabs to yearly boosters, we help keep your dog protected throughout their life.

We vaccinate against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, and kennel cough. We also offer the rabies vaccine for dogs if you’re planning to travel.

Not sure where to start? We’ll guide you through your dog’s full vaccination schedule and send reminders when boosters are due.

Cat
Vaccinations

We recommend kittens begin vaccinations from 8 weeks of age. Our cat vaccination programme covers feline flu, enteritis, Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) and, if needed, rabies.

Even indoor cats need protection — viruses can still find their way into your home.

Whether it’s your kitten’s first jab or a booster vaccine for cats, we’ll make it a stress-free experience.

Rabbit Vaccinations

Rabbits need protection too — even if they live indoors, as the most dangerous diseases can be spread by biting insects. We vaccinate against myxomatosis and both strains of rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (RVHD-1).

Annual boosters help keep them safe, especially in high-risk areas like gardens and parks.

Our team handles rabbits gently and calmly, because little paws deserve big care.

What to expect during your pet’s vaccination appointment at Beehive Vets

A vaccination appointment isn’t just a quick injection. It’s a full health check and a chance for us to get to know your pet.

You can expect:

  • A gentle, nose-to-tail check-up

  • Tailored vaccine advice

  • Time to ask any questions

  • A calm, welcoming environment

  • Treats and cuddles (if your pet is into that!)

We’ll also explain any possible side effects and what to watch for — and we’re just a phone call away if you need us afterwards.
